2022 Mini Rays Is Not Full

Note: Mini Rays is open on a priority basis to Sun Valley Pool members. I do not expect there to be spots available this year for non-pool members.

Mini Rays is a program designed for young, pre-competitive swimmers between the ages of 3-5 years. On occasion, we will take new swimmers at 6 years. It's a fun and friendly environment where kids gain confidence in the pool and with their swimming. The program will be led by Coach Chris with the assistance of Mini Ray helpers.

Goals

• Cultivate and develop an enthusiasm for swimming
• Ensure water safety for swimmers
• Teach fundamentals of all four competitive strokes
• Swimmers can swim the length of pool by end of program
  

Prerequisites

• Can enter/exit pool unassisted
• Blow bubbles and submerge head under water
• Swim two yards unassisted
  

Times & Dates

• Six Week Program: Monday, June 6 - Friday, July 15, 2022

• Practice occurs Monday / Tuesday / Thursday / Friday (No practice on Wednesdays)

• 1:00 to 1:30 pm (1:00-1:10 grass time / 1:10-1:30 pool time)

• Be ready with a towel and to collect your child promptly at 1:30 pm.
  

Mini Ray Party: Friday, July 15th, from 1:30 - 2:15 pm -- Celebrate your progress at the Mini-Ray wrap-up party immediately after our last practice.

Evaluation Date: Evaluations will be held Saturday, May 14th, from 900 - 10:30 am at Sun Valley Pool with Coach Chris. This will allow the coach to see if your child is ready for Mini Rays. In some cases, coach may encourage the swimmer to join the 6 and under swim team.
